The company

Biostrap is a wearable health analytics platform designed to help a user learn & make impactful, data-driven decisions about their health in order to perform, recover and sleep better.

The challenge

Biostrap was leaking money, essentially paying customers to purchase its products (losing money on each customer). They were working with an agency which wasn’t delivering results and spent most of their time reporting on vanity metrics leading to a CPA significantly higher then their product’s retail price.

The strategy

When we stepped in, Biostrap’s ad campaigns were floundering because of overspending with little to no logic / strategy behind the campaigns’ thought process. With Biostrap having lost a considerable amount already to bad strategy, our goal was to bring their ad campaigns to a profitable spend before transforming them into a key revenue driver to grow the business bottom-line. Here’s how we turned it around for Biostrap:

Audience testing & Creative

We’ve said this time and again – duplicating ad sets, making minor tweaks and then crossing your fingers, hoping for results after changing bid types, is not sustainable! This is what we saw in Biostrap’s existing ad campaigns. A feeble improvement on good days fetched them a 1% – 5% improvement but in the long run it was a money leaking machine.

We started with a focus on finding a creative-audience match with extensive testing of both, looking for early signs of profitability.. We built a creative experimentation and roll-out strategy that increased chances of exceeding results on each creative we tested while limiting wasted budget.​

CRO on site

We don’t believe in one size fits all approaches. Our CRO efforts with Biostrap had us analyzing the landing pages where driving targeted audience made the most sense. We then went in to test value props and positioning angles for significant improvements in conversion rate. We had clear winners but we didn’t stop there. We then rolled out various triggered & exit-intent pop-ups on these pages to generate leads and increase sales via segmented offer strategies. We then AB tested the pop up experience in tandem with the rest of our testing.
